undocumentedrepairs.com (the "Site") is run by Undocumented Repairs LLC, a Texas limited liability company. It goes with the Undocumented Repairs YouTube channel. This page explains what information is involved when you visit the Site and how the affiliate links work.
Affiliate disclosure
Some links on this Site and in the video descriptions on the Undocumented Repairs YouTube channel are affiliate links. If you buy something through one of them, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
The Site links to products sold by Amazon, The Home Depot and Harbor Freight, and some of those links run through their affiliate programs. Earning a commission doesn't change what I recommend: the tools listed are ones I use or have used in my own garage. Product names, prices and availability are set by the retailers, and the product photos belong to the retailers or the manufacturers.
Information this Site collects
The Site doesn't have accounts, sign-up forms, comments or a newsletter. It doesn't ask for any personal information, and it doesn't set its own cookies or run analytics or advertising trackers.
Information collected by services the Site uses
Like any website, loading the Site sends some basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for, to the services that deliver it:
- Hosting: the Site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs to run and secure its service.
- Fonts: the Site's fonts load from Google Fonts.
- Images: video thumbnails load from YouTube, and some product photos load directly from Amazon and The Home Depot.
Each of these companies handles that information under its own privacy policy.
When you click a link
When you click a product link, you leave the Site. The retailer (Amazon, The Home Depot or Harbor Freight), and any affiliate network it uses such as Impact, may set cookies or use similar tools to record that you came from this Site, so that a qualifying purchase can be credited. I receive only reports of clicks, purchases and commissions. I don't get your name, contact details or payment information. Links to YouTube videos are covered by YouTube's and Google's privacy policies.
Children
The Site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
